Who is “JP” Behind the JP Strong - Hope Foundation?

"JP", Jon Paul, is a father of three girls - Isabella 18, Natalia 15 and Camilla 10 years old. JP grew up locally in a military family and has been a lifetime employee of the Newport News Shipyard. On Saturday, June 24 of last year, JP was involved in a boating accident that fractured two neck vertebrae’s resulting in limited mobility in his arms & hands and paralysis in his lower body.

JP is a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend who has embarked on a remarkable journey of resilience and determination following a life-changing spinal cord injury. After facing adversity with unwavering strength and courage, JP has not only demonstrated exceptional bravery but also served as a beacon of hope and inspiration for those around him.
